Fanatic
So, I want to fight the Fanatic, I`m think about sending 3 infected with CC heroes to a short or medium lvl 0 dungeon, but i don`t know if he shows up on that type of dungeon. My infestation level is High btw.
Can someone explain better what are the odds of him showing up on any dungeon?
Pls help.

20% if 2,3 infected heroes and infestation is medium
75% if 4 infected and infestation is medium
33% if 2,3 and high
75% if 4 and high

And does he show up on a lvl 0 dungeon? Thank you very much anyway.

He does appear in apprentice dungeons. Not sure what you meant by lvl 0 dungeon

yeah, i mean apprentice, thanks!
Protip: Kill the pyre first. It doesn't infinitely regenerate like the Hag's cauldron, so you can kill it. Even when someone is tied to it, your hits still damage its base hitpoints. And when it's dead, it doesn't come back, and the fanatic can't hide behind it anymore or buff his prot.

I have only killed him in Veteran dungeons so far, but it was relatively easy. Noone died. Just focus on the pyre until it's gone.

Bad tip. Killing Pyre enrages Fanatic.

Two MAA, Vestal and Houndmaster, the bolster skill makes it a breeze.

Doesn't matter, he has the same number of turns and can only buff himself if the pyre is alive. Also, his buffing only makes him stronger, not the pyre.

It takes like 3-4 turns to kill the pyre, and after that he becomes by FAR the easiest boss in the game.

Never kill the pyre, it just enrages the fanatic and it will start using Fury of the Righteous, his more powerful attack, at the start of every turn. Not worth it at all.

His attacks ain't that strong when the pyre is up. He is just a glorified hag, focus him with strong attacks and DoTs and he will go down.

Fury of the Righteous kind of sucks. It does extremely minimal damage, and is massively less accurate than Sentence Rendered. His attacks are not any stronger after the pyre is gone, the difference is that he can't hide behind it.

Are we playing the same game? It's his more damaging attack if you take into account its an AoE hitting your whole party, also with stress. He has other less threatening attacks and you are diminishing the chances he performs them.

Hiding behind the pyre doesn't matter if your party can hit rank 3+, and it should. He dances between ranks anyway so you can catch him in the front too pretty often.

Man, I just defeated him while ago with my 2 level team... I can't put my thoughts up after this fight. It remainds me how hard I hate chrystians and their hipocrysy...

Well done Red Hook Studios! The ambient screams is so cruel! It fits perfectly to overall game ambience - But it gave me a strong kick into my psyche. :)

You do know that its a totally different world and religion, right? Where eldricth monstrosities pour out of the water works, corupting the flesh of the dead swine, resurrecting the dead, twisting the forest outside the hamlet, the caverns by the seafront are host to the fishfolk who want to destroy kill all intruders, and the fact that there is a garden full of vampire-mesquitos infesting and infecting everything with the Crimson Curse? And you're complaining about what happened centuries ago?

I do admit the the ambiant of the fanatic is cool, don't get me wrong. At least the fanatic was doing something to prevent the spreading of the curse. Before he went mad, of course.

I know the fight may have been difficult for you, but it dosen't mean its real. I hate it when people bring political BS into the game and the forums that it makes the community split for petty reasons. I'm not judging you for your belief, I'm just putting what I know of the fanatic in-game. At least the fanatic had a reason why he did the things he did and he went mad because of it. It makes him a tragic character if you look behind all the doom and gloom of the game.

And again, what happened in the real world centuries ago compared to whats happened in the game, I'd say that releasing doom upon the world by one man and his dark ambitions is more worrying than the crusades or the witch trials.

I appreciate Your commend and I am aware that in game there is not christian-thing. :)

It JUST REMIND me that in the history of relligion christianism was the most brutal one. I am writing now from Poland - Slavic land which was profunded and obliterated by cross to all innocent pagan tribes...

Again - that fight just reminded me our darkest times...It is just a thought.
Sorry If I insulted anyone.

I am playing DD from the release date - long time! :) It is in my first 5 best games ever played!

Cheers!

No problem, I was just worried you might get into an argument with someone else. Just goes to shows that not every one is so trigger happy about that kind of stuff. I'm glad you enjoy the game.

In all due honesty, I thought you were a rich white kid from the US, holding his ♥♥♥♥ in his hand, trying to find something to do or to complain about. Glad to know someone from poland who plays DD. Make sure to stake the countess for me will ya? Cost me three of my better heroes, by my Flagellent took her down, best Tank/healer. :)
