How does BANK work?

I'm ~35 weeks in and have just built the bank. But it doesn't seem to bring any profit to me.

Went for a test mission with 4 lvl 0 characters and fled immediately. My overall gold stayed the same.

Then I joined a boss mission, killed it, cleared the entire level, went out. My gold hasn't changed again, except for treasures I brought from the mission.

So? I don't understand it, I can't enter this building, can't put the money there, so my guess is it works passively, giving 5% of my entire gold amount weekly, but IT DOESN'T.

It takes the money you have and if the week passes (i.e 35-36) it will add 5% of the money you had to your total after the quest.

Here's an example, you have 50,000 gold. 5% of that is 2,500 gold. so you will have 52,500 gold plus loot you earnt from the quest.

[Edit] Entering and fleeing immediatly will not pass the week.
