What do Aegis Scales do?

I have them in the Provisions, "Gives fierce protection" makes me assume it gives more PROT.

They completely block damage for one hit.

it gives 1 block to anybody you use it on (simular to one of Shieldbreaker's skills where she gives herself 2 blocks but you can use it on anybody)

It applies 1 Block to any character you apply it to during battle. It's a great tool for boss-runs where damage mitigation may not be possible, i.e. against the Prophets or any other enemy where you know who the damage is heading towards.
