The base bonuses on the CC trinkets aren't great, but the set bonus is strong. The full set provides a considerable defense buff both physically and mentally. This set might work decently in the Darkest Dungeon where heavy stress, blight and damage are ever present. The +blight chance is a psuedo damage/accuracy increase against enemies with resistences. It's not an amazing set but certainly solid.
In regards the Darkest Dungeon, I was thinking that too. Particularly in DD3, where there isn't as much inventory space and the enemies can really start stacking the blight damage.
