We could infer that she is simply a flawed product of the church, as her beliefs are not truly her own, but rather, were forced upon her by other nuns in her church-based education, thus she doesn't really know how to appropriatly channel such extreme feelings through anything but writing and telling herself that lust is sin.
This idea of religion being flawed and dogmatic is very appropriate to the lovecraftian theme that Darkest Dungeon goes for. Lovecraft was very nihilistic, believing religion to be an ineffective means of cooping with life that forced people to reject who they are.
Salacious = (of writing, pictures, or talk) treating sexual matters in an indecent way and typically conveying undue interest in or enjoyment of the subject.
So basically, her no-no thoughts and temptations which she's not allowed to think because she's a nun.
