When Would I Be Ready to Start the Darkest Dungeon?
Right now, I don't think I'm anywhere close to entering the Darkest Dungeon with any amount of hope, but I'd like some tips to when I'd be strong enough. I'm on Radiant difficulty, and I already have a bunch of level 6 guys, as well as level 4 abilities and weapons and level 3 armor. I'm on week 33 right now.

You aren't. You want max lvl abilities and equipment, as well as some great trinkets, before you go in.

Max everything and high tier trinkets, or you'll be slaughtered.

The first Dungeon isn't that bad if you are prepared for it - no hints here - but I think you want level 4 equipment at least.

To make it as straightforward as possible you want 16 level 6 heroes with max skills and equipment, and good trinket loadouts.

Funnily enough, I find the first 2 to be the most difficult. Mostly cause the boss is... well, I can't say ♥♥♥♥ without spoilers so I just won't.

Except there is no "great trinkets". That´s why they are called "trinkets" and not "artefacts". I wouldn´t even call them "items".

My only comment is: there is NO WAY you will be "farmed enough" and "prepared to be ready" for dungeons. 99% percent you go in, get team-wiped and start grinding a new team. Unless you get very lucky and pick right team/abilities by accident. And what an accident that must be!!

If You want to get trought in one-two tries, read wiki, and do it carefully.

Get a large gold pool going to pay for the skills, weapons, and armor upgrades.
Besides maxing weapons and armor to 5 for all, max all the skills you will need (most of them), and clear your negative quirks of the very worst ones at a minimum (run Caregivers Convention in the Weald as much as possible to get free quirk removals/locks).

the first dd quest isn;t so hard, the game introduces you to the enemies of darkest dungeon, so you will know what you're getting into.
without spoilers, i would suggest you to make your first dd quest team a mobile team that has characters that can move around in a fight.
everything else, you can deal with it

Go into the darkest dungeon as soon as you have a decent team at max level with max gear. You can't prepare for the unknown, and you need to know what you need. You can't give yourself better odds than a balanced maxed out team.

DDs are not hard if you have the necessary team and if you know the map. But like others said, you need max level armor and weapons, abilities and trinkets which give you high resistance against bleeding/blight/stun/debuff.
Someone said 99% of the time you get party wiped, thats not true. I finished DD1-2-3 without losing a single hero and Im not good at this game.

I said, IF YOU DONT HAVE any knowledge of the map, 99% you will get team wiped at first tries and long annoying grinding will follow. Who claims, that they finished dungeons at first try, without losing heroes and without reading gamepedia constantly is either a very rare freak, very very lucky or just big fat liar.

Or they're just good at the game.

Also you can retreat. Yeah you lose a hero, but two dead heroes and two live ones with all your trinkets is better then four dead heroes and no trinkets.
