•Even if you're losing money, remember that your Hamlet is still probably making progress through hamlet upgrades. These upgrades are essential to cultivating your team of heroes.
•If you're having a hard time with cash but still want to remove quirks, prioritize which quirks you want to treat first. Some of them can be ignored almost completely, so you don't have to treat all of them.
•When upgrading the Abby and the Tavern, I would suggest focusing on the lowest tier of stress heal. When fully upgraded, it can relieve 70 stress, which is enough to take care of most cases. By focusing on one type of stress relief activity (whatever you choose) you maximize the return on investment that you'll get over time.
•Save upgrading the Nomad Wagon and Survivalist for last. Survivalist, although expensive, is a one time cost that you won't use that often per character. Nomad Wagon, although useful, is completely RNG dependent, so you might not receive a direct benefit from your upgrades for some time. In addition, you can spend the early game choosing quests to obtain specific trinkets anyway.
Happy hunting!
My suggestion would be to stop removing quirks. Quirks have much weaker effect than skill/weapon/armor upgrades, so those should be your priority. The only quirks you should consider removing are Kleptomanic, Curious, Compulsive, and maybe Fear of Mankind/Eldritch or speed debuffing ones (Off Guard, Slow Reflexes). At this point in the game though, if somebody gets a really bad quirk locked in, you may want to just dismiss them.
Also, don't upgrade your entire party at once. Just upgrade the characters you are using for the particular mission you're about to do, and, even then, only ones that make sense for the party. Don't upgrade a bleed skill if you're going into the Ruins, for example.
