Gibbering Prophet help
so I tried Arbalest, Occ, Grave Robber, Hellion - which would have worked fine had the prophet not dodged the occ debuff (I had the rare +40% trinket) then blighted the arbalest and Occ and then dropped ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on them killing the Occultist on the FIRST TURN.

I'm gonna try with MAA and Leper so I can guard them but jesus effin christ like....come on!

MAA is really the way to go with the prophet, your instincts are right. Slip a prot trinket on him if you've got one as well.

Either MAA or Houndmaster. You can get the HM'd dodge so high, that the rocks always miss. Drop the Arbalest, run OCC/GR/MAA/Hellion

Taking a Leper would be a huge mistake, unless you REALLY want the pews. Hellion all the way.

sounds like you succumbed to poor luck. a team I find effective is vestal/ grave robber/ man at arms/ hellion- man at arms generally spams guard, while the others just focus down the boss, save for the occasional heal. Generally you shouldn't have too much trouble that way, as long as you have your equipment up to snuff, the rubble attack hits pretty hard but since it's dead last in the round, you can put some +speed on your vestal and just heal things off of death's door right away. Probably bring some antivenom to the fight, since blight damage can be very dangerous after taking the rubble hit.

A MAA is very good since he can raise everyones dodge. When fighting the Prophet you want to focus on dmg reduction and dodging his attacks. Occ is highly recommended since he can reduce the prophets dmg and prot and as an added bonus he can mark the prophet making him take extra damage from hwm,bh,gr and arb. Hwm and Maa can both do extra damage to the prophet using reposte. Arb can also be very useful with necromancers collar and vvulf's tassel since that allows her to deal extra damage to marked, unholy and size 2 enemies, things that you can make the prophet easily become. Maa should also be used to guard occ and arb since their your squishy heroes

Just killed him for the first time using Antiquarian, Occultist, Shieldbreaker and Crusader. It got pretty dicey for a bit, the Occultist and Shieldbreaker ended up on death's door a couple times with blight on them but I had enough healers to keep them off it so they didn't die to blight at the start of their turns. I had forgotten that the prophet did blight damage, so I didn't even bring antivenom. I also ran out of uses of the Antiquarian's force guard ability, but luckily the Crusader hacked his way through the pews by that point and started putting enough damage on him to end the fight shortly after.

Best character for this fight is, no joke, actually the Leper.
Intimidate.

use vestal for dd tank or just bring hound for dodge tank.
why hound instead of MAA? cause fallen rocks can be dodge, just keep MAA for vvulf.

Best lineup is something like GR-VES-MAA-LEP. Use the leper for debuffing the prophet, and don't forget the debuff amulet. Guard with MAA until the prophet is neutered. OCC would be fine too, if you have the MAA.

You can also usually get at least a couple of the pews with MAA. Or just take out the front pew once you don't need to guard any more, bringing the Prophet up by one, and you can directly hit him with the MAA.
