Blood Lusted Rapturous Flagellant is hilarious
+25% damage and +4 speed, from blood lust, +25% damage and +3 speed from Rapturous means you are sitting at +50% damage and +7 speed. Throw on Dismas's Head (+25% damage)and a Martyr's Seal +75% damage on Death's Door) and when he drops to Death's Door its a total of +150% damage. You're almost guaranteed to go first, and you can immediately use Exsanguinate for big damage and a massive bleed DoT on a target, and healing yourself up considerably which pulls yourself off Death's Door.

The crimson curse can be useful, but you need the blood, how not

I mean, they buffed the Drop rate for The Blood a lot, and with the Sanguine Vitners i've actually managed to stabilize my Blood flow, allowing me to take at least 2 Cursed heroes into a dungeon. So it's not all bad right now!

Actually, it's even higher than that because the flagellant also gets 20% extra damage from being on death's door even without the martyr's seal.

Also, if a hero is bloodlusted you can use extra blood for a 50% damage and +4 speed buff, at the cost of about 40-50 stress. So if we start from 0 stress and craving the blood, we can use ~7 vials of blood to give an extra 300% damage to those calculations (One for going into bloodlust). This brings us up to around +475% damage and +33 speed. Now if only we could pull this off with a leper, abomination, or jester with finale...

Pretty sure this math is correct, but it's late at night and i'm tired.

Well that's what balances it- you practically have to self-destruct the Flagellant to get him to this point, and his base damage isn't the highest in the game. But given his attacks do hefty bleed on top of the damage, its still pretty good. On a crit it would be possible to deal 100ish damage to the target.

but if you take 2 or more cursed heroes into the dungeon the fanatic may show up to ruin your day, so personally I would try to give my cursed heroes as sparse of use as possible. That is just my personal thoughts though.

Oh yes, wonderful, when the Afflicted Flagellant starts beating the crap out of your other heroes for no reason, setting off an Affliction Cascade with his double-frequent rants thanks to Bloodlust.

except it's not balanced lol since exsanguinate dishes out huge damage, heals him to half, takes him off deaths door, and flagellant's don't suffer from mortality debuffs. it's ridiculous. oh and with districts he gets another 10% healing skills for free so slap that on

Yeah, but if The Fanatic is haunting the dungeon, I do believe you get a cool loading screen beforehand and the Ancestor ranting about how he is a rabid animal, and must be put down.

cool! I have yet to fight the fanatic so I guess if you have a bad comp and see the loading screen you can just abandon the quest.
