What are your tips for the siren?
Spoilers Below: Don't read on if you haven't fought the siren yet.

So today I fought the Alluring (not really in my opinion/Veteran lvl) Siren. I'm curious what kind of attack the "hypnotize" move is. What I mean is, what kind of skills/buffs can protect your character from being enchanted by this boss?

(feel free to skip the video unless you want to see how not to fight this boss)

Well either way I played terribly and still managed to take this thing down. Is there an optimal party setup for dealing with this boss or just the cove in general? Do you guys like to bring lots of heroes who can deal blight damage?

The Siren's possession attack is considered a debuff, so if you have huge resistance (holy water helps), you can resist it. With the right classes and trinket setup, you can get your whole party to 120%+ debuff resist, which should make it that you'll never get picked.

Alternately, you can bring in an Antiquarian or some level 0 hero. The Siren will pick the hero wit the lowest resist, so will repeatedly take that character and leave the rest of your team alone.

[edit]In terms of combat strategy, NEVER mark with a Bounty Hunter (or Arb... HM only if you need to debuff PROT) if you have an Occultist in the party. Your Occ is your prime marking character.

I think if you can dodge her song a couple times, she'll summon a full monster party and then she can't capture anyone for the rest of the fight (unless you kill the ads).

I love the idea of bringing and Antiquarian. Nice.

That's basically what I did. Was suprised it worked so well in my fight she basically just dodged that call everytime. Im also a fan of her attack that causes blight damage.

Debuff Charms and Holy Water make her a cake walk.

occ has better stuff to throw in his moveslots compared to mark imo, all of the pull + artillery + stab + heal + -dmg curse are so good

anyway just bring someone with ass for debuff resist and minimal offense, jester/antiquarian/untransformed abom work best here. she's probably more of a one trick pony than the brigand cannon or swine prince imo

really though, every team should have an antiquarian in it

That is me too. I just post to both. I get good feedback from both and it gets my Darkest Dungeon "Let's Play" out there in the interwebs.
