It is considered cheating (of course), but I don't think there's anything the devs could do about it, or they would have already solved it. Besides, this is a solely singleplayer game, so people can do what they want i guess

Back then if you alt+f4 inside the dungeon when you come back you are spawned in the same spot, they changed it?
I don't think it's cheat, everyone has the choice of how to play the game and we're not talking about a online game, so. They don't need to fix it, player just have the choice of not use it, if they use it's not the game fault, it's the player fault to be scared of losing.

To fix it, I wonder if the "DEATHBLOW" text could happen after a save, so that the player doesn't know it was a deathblow until after the save. Sounds so simple, it probably isn't workable or they'd already have done it.

Sounds like the real issue here is your lack of self control. Unfortunately, the devs cannot fix that for you.

Why would it become uninteresting? Don't use it = problem solved. Also If you really think its such a bad cheat, you just shared it with alot of people like me who didn't know about it.

yes its clearly a bug with the game

just like when u play a hard game on a console instead of pc, if u power down or unplug teh console to avoid consequence thats a bug too :/

Sounds kinda dumb. Isn't it easier to backup the save file? and restore? You could also edit the save file of the graveyard (death status) and make them alive again.

EDIT: Who are you trying to impress with that empty graveyard?
