SHRIEKER is it worth killing?
So, first time I got the mission to find the shreiker, i went in the dungeon and did not killed him he flew away. But I got his trincket even if I didn't kill him (the one with +4 speed and some resistances). Next time I got my farming party wiped on shambler (don't want to talk about that, it hurts) so I got shrieker again to get my lost trinckets back. I went to DD wiki page to see how to fight it properly, and I red that even if you don't kill him you will get your trinckets back (and that's what hapened) and also that if you kill his nest (the wood stuff) you can get up to 8 wooden stuff where each prize is 5000 (that's up to 40K).

So here is my question, is there any defference, in loot, if I kill him or if he flew away? Is it better to focus on the nest so I can get my trinckets back anyway and also loot like 40K of gold?

Ps. On the 4th round he flew away and the nest had like 10 HP, so i didn't killed the nest tho.

Yeah, something is not right with that guy. You get the trinkets even if you don't kill anything, and you get the achievement "Kill the shrieker" even if you don't, in fact, kill the shrieker. Or his nest. And his attacks don't do much damage, mostly, just stress you out.

So the event is: "Get a bunch of guys possibly a bit stressed out, get all you trinkets back + an achievement you don't actually deserve". (I killed him for real, no special reward for it, just 8 trinkets from among the ones he stole and the ones I lost, I think, but I would've got that anyway, I also think)

I think it's just bugged. Can't be working as intended. The game counting him running away as a kill and thus a sucess?

I finally killed the damned thing the 5th time it showed up. The trick was just stacking accuracy trinkets on my occultist so he could actually land his dodge debuff mark.

Does the crow come back after you kill it? I'd like to obtain more of its unique trinkets.

I think it doesn't come back once you killed it, but I'm not sure.

Also I used the vestal ability to reduce his dodge, the one with like -30 dodge, obviously getting him accuraccy ring and other accuracy trincket. But first time he dodged it and flew away with like 30/40 HP

I stunned the Shrieker in the 4th round and that prevented it from flying away.

But I think if you can destroy its nest every time the quest shows up, you have a good source of money.

Don't need to destroy the nest, my first time agains him i didn't kill neither him neither the nest, and still got the quest and his trincket.

Destroying the nest gives you 40k gold

It does. At least if you have an event in town where it starts stealing trinkets.

Yeah, but i meant that you don't have to kill the nest to get the reward, and to complete the quest.

BAU => Broken as usual. That quest is bugged, and not very well designed too.

The Town Event where the Shrieker steals trinkets was recently patched to only happen once. If you lose enough trinkets to deaths/retreats/etc., a Shrieker mission should turn up again to allow the player to retrieve the lost trinkets, thankfully.

I killed Shrieker with a +80%DMG crimson cursed abomination, then feared my trinkers'll never come back again.
