Are there negative town events?

I haven't played the game much but every town event I get is good. I've never gotten a bad one.

I've gotten free stress relief a few times. I just got free medical treatment. Also, I have received free supplies 2 or 3 times.

But I haven't ever got anything negative. I ask because I see there is a option to change how many town events you get. Mine is set to normal now. But if they're all good, I may turn it up.

There are a few. The 2 that I can think of are the Brigand Incursion (obviously) and the one that lowers virtue chance.

I've gotten a couple of others, but because I'm playing the pitch black mod, those may or may not be in the unmodded game.

So, would you say that you get positive events much more often than not?

Yes. There seem to be considerably more positive events. It's also worth noting that if you're doing the gathering/delivering quests, that will garantee a town event linked to that quest (for instance, collecting holy relics in the ruins will activate all saints day, making the Abbey free). The Brigand Incursion may overwrite these, but I'm not certain.

Okay. I don't think I've seen any gathering/delivering quests yet. I'm only on Week 22 or so. I'm really still just trying to learn the game.

I've seen one town event that halved the supplies available to buy. Normally it won't make a difference but it does basically remove the possibility of running a long dungeon that week, you'll run into torch/food issues.
