TIL negative quirks only get aggravated if used on quests.
So reynauld won't have kleptomaniac aggravated before the sanitarium unlocks if you replace him

I have had negative quirks being reinforced when a hero was having a disease cured or their stress relieved. So if you get lucky after completing a quest, or gain a new quirk from a quest, just keep that in mind as well.

Reinforced negative quirks can be a godsend if it is something like deviant tastes. My Reynauld has Deviant Tastes, Known Cheat and Bad Gambler (snerk) locked in, so I only have to worry about two negative quirks max and neither of those will get reinforced.

Kleptomaniac is a huge no no tho... And beeing able to remove it cheaply during the first weeks is great.

I'm doing my first "darkest" run and I am feeling the price of money after having played radiant for a few hours

Reynauld is not very good. Better just to get rid of him and get somebody better unless you're trying to get the achievement.

Dismas is okay for a HWM because he starts with Quick Reflexes, at least.

Not really sure how having kleptomaniac condones him to being a poor choice... I got rid of it the day the sanitarium opened I believe, and currently 20 weeks in, Reynauld has 5 positive quirks and 1 negative (Positives being slugger, clutch hitter, warrior of light, quick reflexes, and unyielding. Only negative is god fearing). Especially since hes as close as you can get to a main character, if theres atleast the chance that he can become what mine is then he is quite good.
