However, you can try to tinker with the party and enemy position with an hex editor if that's your thing but please don't enforce your ideas onto us.
and being toxic won't help either.
Irrelevant. I was not asking about why YOU enjoy it.
"However, you can try to tinker with the party and enemy position with an hex editor if that's your thing but please don't enforce your ideas onto us."
Wow, please tell me where I was saying that the Devs have to change this to be a 6-character group? I asked if someone else had done a mod for it.
"and being toxic won't help either."
You have got to be kidding me....
But keep in Mind a fifth position would also mess with the skills as they suddenly need to cover an extra slot. And i believe such things are more hardcoded. Unsure tho
then you are "asking" the community (which includes modder but also devs) to make a mod that add two more slots to the party and one more to the enemy's party. If that demand can not be fullfilled, you won't buy the game.
That's pretty much enforcing someone to do something for your own good instead of concentrating on the needs of the community which is selfish and shouldnot be taken into consideration.
However you are free to make your own mod if you have the technical skills to do so and, why not, post it on the workshop for other to enjoy.
And yes, you are being toxic, radioactive even.
...Is it close enough to your expected answer?
(edit:) It should be okay to avoid a game you're sure you cannot enjoy much. Save your money and time for what you really want.
Probably.
-Two more characters wouldn't fit on the screen. Zooming things out would make a lot of room backgrounds not cover the entire screen, so those would also need reworking. GUI elements might not match up either (since they stay the same size even when the screen is zoomed in) so those would probably need to be redone from scratch... and we're talking both code and graphics here.
-Every single support skill would need to be reworked so they can target allies in the new back rows, and a lot of attacks would need to be fixed up so they can be USED from those new back ranks. And let's not forget about enemy attacks either.
-Suddenly spreading stress and damage out over 50% more characters could seriously mess with the game's balance, and since a stressed-out party easily trigger each other, this could make the game much harder in some aspects.
-The game will softlock if there's not enough heroes for a full party, and the stagecoach is set up so there's always at least FOUR available heroes... not "at least 6".
There's probably more stuff but TLDR even if it's TECHNICALLY possible to add more party members, it's not as simple as it sounds to make it work in practice.
