Call of duty still running?

I last played the game 2 days ago on the 7th and closed out the game but in the Library it says it's been running since yet it's not showing in the Task Manager. Playtime shows 42 hrs while just below it shows that I've played for 11 hrs.

I noticed a 'STOP' button which I've never seen before for any other game. I clicked the button but it's still running. I tried exiting Steam and restarting. It said it was waiting for CoD to shut down which it never did and I got the option to force Steam to close anyway which I did. After Steam restarted, CoD showed at still running.

What's going on?

I had the same problem with another game 3 weeks ago...its a bug from steam

I've also noticed in processes there's a process dllhost.exe with the description COM Surrogate that keeps appearing and disappearing.

restart computer if needed. should fix the issue. I'm more impressed you even got it to start

At first it wouldn't start til I added it to games profile for my security/firewall. Also had to run it 2nd time. Plays just fine. The graphics are dated of course but still good. AI's not too bad either.

I found the process to kill it. It runs as a rundll32.exe *32 process. Adding the command line column in Task Manager reveals it as Call of Duty.
