Terry the Thresher
Sounds familiar? Maybe because he's Terramorphous, anyone else agree? Well, Terramorphous has got to be one of the first Threshers to arrive on pandora to grow that big right?

No, Isn't Terry the BIG thresher we attract under the hyperion bridge using Hammerlock arm? I do remember him being called Terry

hmm, maybe, but i forgot all about BL2

I do remember Hammerlock saying that the thresher we kill under the bridge was HIS fresher, and the one who ate his arm if I remember.. Also remember him having a strange, humanoid name

Edit: I was wrong, the thresher under the bridge is named Old Slappy, probably is the SECOND thresher we send to hammerlock, so yeah, Terry probably is Terra

You mean Old Slappy? The thresher you kill in that one Hyperion area using Hammerlocks arm? I'm pretty sure the two threshers you put in the rocket are Slappy and Terramorphous (Correct me if I'm wrong)

Yes i searched, and I agree with you, probably is Old Slappy the second thresher in the rocket, and maybe it is why Hammerlock say "they got a taste for pandoran flesh", maybe they ate his arm together
Terry. Sterwin.... They are both easter eggs about Steve Irwin and his wife.

I don't see how that deducts them from also being Old Slappy and Terramorphous.

You know, if Terry did grow up to be Terramorphous, I'm suprised nobody's considered the fact he also grew to skyscraper size in less than five years.

Well, Threshers do breed like wildfire (according to Hammerlock, and yes i know it's a metaphore) , soo their growth should be fast too right?

If Terry the Thresher = Terramorphous the Invincible, then you have to consider that (s)he is the ancestor of ALL Threshers on Pandora. Like Adam and Eve for Humans, Terry would be the ancestor of every single Thresher you ever encounter on Pandora, alongside the other Thresher we sent down.

Terra is bloody massive, but no matter how you look at it, Terra is either one of the Threshers we send from Elpis to Pandora, or is descended from them. More likely that Terra is one of the originals. Either way, Terramorphous is the result of a Thresher surviving for under half a decade in seemingly ideal conditions. They seem to like moist areas, and Terra has a HUGE freaking lake all to itself. There might be Slag Mutation mixed in there somewhere as well... can't be certain.

One of the Threshers we sent got a taste for human via Hammerlock, and at some point escaped. Considering the timing of Hammerlock getting nommed on and the mention of naming one Terry, it is likely Terry that got the taste for human. Fitting, as Terramorphous gets a HUGE freaking area all to itself, and that huge horn? Yeah, probly used by bandits to sacrifice someone to Terra.

So Terry likely got a taste for Human via Hammerlock, escaped(grew too large to contain?), started reproducing like MAD, its children going about doing their thing and also reprocing, while Terry buggered off to what later became Terramorphous Peak and lake, where (s)he ate and killed numerous people and bandits. Being a foreign being, never before seen on Pandora, the locals were freaked, didn't know how to fight it. Some evidently thought Terry a god, and that Terry was some fools nickname for the god, and assumed Terramorphous to be a more fitting name. They set up the horn at Terramorphous Peak to call it, to give it sacrifices, in the hopes it wouldn't go and sack towns. No idea how the gate got put in place though...

tl;dr: Terry is probly Terramorphous, is feared as a god, is the Adam/Eve of Threshers on Pandora, and one heck of a Badass.
