Brother, dunno. Probably a script error there.

Moxxi's known family associations so far are:
* Parents unknown, probably Hodunks
* No mention of any siblings
* Son: Scooter
* Daughter: Ellie
* 1st ex-husband: Unknown father of Scooter and Ellie, probably a Hodunk, probably divorce by Moxxi when she left the Hodunks to save Ellie from becoming the clan wife.
* 2nd ex-husband: Mr. Shank, preferred men, slain by vault hunters at Moxxi's request in BL1.
* 3rd ex-husband: Marcus Kincaid, divorce due to Marcus' dissatisfaction (as far as I remember from the dialogue hints)
* 4th ex-husband: Mordecai, seemed to pay more attention to Bloodwing than to Moxxi, divorce by Moxxi in favor of Handsome Jack
* 5th ex-husband: Handsome Jack, divorce by Moxxi because she thought Jack was insane. Jack destroyed Moxxi's Underdome arena in retaliation.
The wiki lists Scooter's father as Jimbo Hodunk.
In the BL2 mission Swallowed Whole, Scooter refers to having a "brother-uncle".
This means (assuming that the Wiki is correct), that either Jimbo slept with his own mother, or Jimbo is Moxxi's father in addition to being the father of at least one of her children (and I'm not assuming that Moxxi thought it was a good idea). Either way, the Hudunk's are evil.
Of course, this also assumes that Scooter is telling the truth, and not just making crap up (about his family), which is also possible.

Regardless, when she threatens you with her son she is most likely referring to Scooter. It's meant as something of a joke, since Scooter isn't actually very threatening, but the player character in BL:TPS has no way of knowing that.
