TVHM BUG - Lost Legion Invasion "Get Moonshot"

I got stumped by this so thought I'd post in case someone else freaks out like I did.

When starting TVHM, I got to the part where you are supposed to be shot down to Elpis via the Moonshot Cannon. However, when I clicked the exit waypoint, nothing happened! The cut-scene didn't play (where Janey watches you land) and I got loaded into the crate not being able to do a thing except move around. I panicked and after several reloads thought I was stuck at that point forever. But the solution (eventually) dawned on me and makes sense:

Unequip your Oz Kit! ^-^ (before you step on to the crate)

Granted I may be missing a few brain cells, but this kind of thing really should have been sorted pre-launch. You're in TVHM - of course you'll have an Oz Kit equipped!

The same mission had Jack hungup at the elevator and would not progress. Had to wait him out for about 10 mionutes before he became unstuck and I could progress to the cannon for the moonshot.

Damn, didn't work, I unequipped everything, even sold Oz kit, still broken.

This bug is still present. Un-equipping OZ kit did not work.

I should have put it in OP but you need to unequip it before you step onto the crate. So just reload and unequip while Jack is rambling on :) You can re-equip as soon as Janey opens the crate door for you.

EDIT:
Hmmm this just dawned on me, do you have anything else that is providing oxygen? Because the whole point of the scene is that you are supposed to be running out of air. This is why i think having an Oz kit equipped breaks it, but anything else that gives Oz could also break it.

you havent got -nomovies on the launcher by any chance, that will cause it


I removed -NoStartupMovies from my launcher and the bug disappeared and Janey started talking to me.

Thanks for the info! Yeah i know we get annoyed at the startup movies, specially ones that use 10 and are unskippable :o but i guess when you tinker with things it will have unforeseen side effects. Like if you tickle a horses azz, you'll get kicked in the face (who knew!)

i know this is a steam community referring to the pc version of the game, but I have both, and removing NoStartupMovies worked on my pc version of the game when i encountered this, but what do you do if it happens on the console version? (FWI, i have the PS4 version, the handsome jack collection)

I had this bug too, I just quit the game to desktop and reloaded the game and it ran fine after that.
