Totally lost save?

Iv had a few crashes as many others seem to have had, but this latest one was a biggie, a few days ago i lost about an hours worth of progress due to a crash but now it seems iv lost the lot -.-

The game had a huge crash where it restarted my PC and tried to restart BL at the same time, so after the PC booted i launched Steam and i restarted BL:TPS and im level 1 again .. iv looked for saved game files and cant find any , anyone else had this? or know if i can fix it?

Hi

Check you last save then load save.bak in as the save. However if moonstones etc they will be gome as that is a profile.bin issue. Back up when you need to.

Start->my documents>mygames>bl TPS> Willowgame>savedata>save 0078965104125 copy it to desktop.

save000whatever.sav
save000whatever.sav.bak

Delete the ->save000whatever.sav

Rename-> save000whatever.sav.bak TO -> save000whatever.sav

Save and close folder

Then hopefully it will restore weapons and such. But as already mentioned. if a profile.bin fail then there is nothing to be done legitly.

This completely sucks, my cousin, (which I share my games) had that happen to a player in his session and from what he told me the player was not very happy about it. NOT HAPPY, calling him names and threatening to report him to STEAM, my cousin has decided to remove himself from the community and has removed all the friends he had for this game, since he feels responsible for this one player losing all his inventory, which was a level 50. This needs to be fixed quickly.

Some of you guys are having really bad luck. Touch wood, so far the above bugs have left me alone.

Yea,I read something about this being something to do with other players but i was playing solo when it happened to me, doing a few side quests to catch up a bit from the more minor lost save (2 levels) while my leveling parter was offline, but as i say, i was just playing alone for about an hour when this one happened and iv lost the lot, the Character and obviously all the gear,moonstones etc

If you have also noticed that your BA Ranks have gone down then it is a profile.bin error.

Please everybody report these issues.

I never found a fix, just gave up , if its still happening 2 years later that sucks

You may not have lost it, actually. I just had the same problem and thought I lost it. Even though my save is on EPIC, I think it would be the same for you too. What happened was after having an issue with internet and couldn't log in my Epic account. I launched the game offline and somehow the character didn't load straight away.

So you have to click on 'Change character' on the main menu. You can do it by pressing 'C' on the keyboard or 'Y' on your controller. You should luckily see the character you used listed. Just select and load. Hope I'm not too late because I almost had a heart attack

Hope they are alive and would consider continuing. Because I know I wasn't starting from scratch if that actually happened to me
