Grinding Luneshine Weapons

Does anyone know if there is an easy way to grind luneshine weapons? Also, is the minimum rarity for lunshine weapons blue in the grinder?


I am only grinding for the level 1 challenge (20 luneshine weapons) if that helps. Thanks!

luneshine weapon could only be green or higher due to that moonstone will guranteed a higher quality for every grind. The only tip I could give you is save your game, and grind. If you don't get a luneshine, alt-f4 and repeat until you do unless you're using a Mac.

52 grinds complete....only 9 luneshine so far. Need more MOOONNSSTTONNNESS!!!

Also, I will just leave a tip for people trying to do this. Farming Iwojara makes this the easiest to get continuous moonstone and weapon selection.

I also used the slot machines on the normal playthough for a bit for extra white/green weapons.

I also need this for Level 1 Challenge. I think 20times are very difficult for level1(!), when you consider that not everytime you spent moonstones, you get a lunshine weapons.

I spent 200 of them and have 4/20 so far -.- Well, the first times I used level 50 weapons from the slot machine.. - Now I collect those lvl28 from Iwojara. It's bit cheaper. But it does take so long..

You're on the right way, my friend. Try grabbing some white level 4 or 5 pistols, it is cheap as dirt, as the price is scalled by the average weapon level and multiplied by a quality multiplier.

Else, doing this very late in UVHM might be a considerably choice, as even Torks start droping Moonstones frequently, and you won't have to spend 'em on something else (by that time, you should have all capacity upgrades, except you're like me and play without them).

A small conclusion for those who came here late because of the bloody achiv.

Decent method is simple going to normal regolith range (entrance that doesnt have a car in front), right at the first building on the opposite side of the boss area there is a common chest, kill enemies and open it for low lv white. You should need a minimum of 45 white stuffs of the same tipe (aka 45 white weapons for example) in total to do the 20 luneshines from 0.
Here is the thing, fast travel to concordia, grind:

If luneshine: save and quit.
Not luneshine: alt f4.
Every 3 luneshine grinds, you have a green luneshine grind, it should be needed only a single luneshine blue grind, keep in mind that this isnt by any means a optimized method, its just effective enough to be happy, and more importantly, cheap.

Now this part i should be pretty wrong, whatever in case you wander, it should be needed a average of 4 moonstone per grind, this is 80 moonstones, which shouldnt be hard to have, whatever farming it should be easy on end game bosses.
