Why is there a RAID Sentinel???
he has no guaranteed drops, and no good drop rates (farmed him 21x, got nothing)
the only difference is that he has more health and costs 20 moonstone to fight him
the normal sentinel is easyier to kill is free to fight and has better drop rates ( 2 ZX-1 during 19 farms)

Why is there a RAID Sentinel??? - to steal your time and to annoy you

I feel like TPS is more casul, faster endgame, farming legendaries with no skill, all you need is spending time in vendors.

hope that gets fixed at least with the dlcs, just a small percentage of legendaries is farmable from bosses

Because BL1 and 2 required so much skill. Vendor farming doesn't require skill, but neither did mobbing or using moxxi weapons on raid bosses in 2. Get over yourself and don't drag crap arguments like that in, what could be, a good discussion.

I'm more disappointed that he IS the raid boss. Would have preferred a completely new thing to fight. Like Terry. The loot the raid sentinel drops should be better for sure but fighting the same guy you just killed 10 minutes ago with more HP was the only time I felt truly disappointed with the presequel.

Yes it does, try killing Terra in BL2 as a fresh level 50 solo without any killing experience or crawmerax in BL1. You Sir should think about that, not I am. Your comment is only "get Moxxi weapon kill everything" that's just wrong.

THAT is disappointing, but more disappointing is that he doesn't drop anything special, there is no need to fight him

This was a long time ago but:

lvl 50 krieg half hellborn half bloodlust, forgot the specific skills
random purple maliwan fire smg
assault rifle I dont remember, though it was purple as well
grog nozzle
random vladof rocket launcher because lolwhynot
Fastball
I completely forgot what my shield, class mod, and artifact were

Took me a few tries to refine my fastball aim for the tentacles moving around in the distance, but once i got that down it was a cakewalk.

This by no means is a technical reason for it, but the way I see it, the Sentinal raid boss isn't real, it's made up. Athena doesn't even know what a raid boss is, and lacks the imagination to make one up. So when Tina asks for a raid boss, Athena reused the boss from the endgame. Again, this is not a real reason, just a way for me to accept it.

Substitute 'Aussies' for 'Athena' and I think you've nailed it.

I think that probably is the reason. That's what it seemed like to me. I mean, they could have made a separate raid boss, but this felt like a story choice, not laziness or anything.

From a technical standpoint, yes, they should have made a new raid boss. From a story standpoint, I can see that Athena didn't care about the raid boss, she was just trying to make Tina happy.
WahnWitz26 Oct 28, 2014 @ 10:29am
but to make tina happy, there should be something AWESOME about this fight, but there isn't!
Meatpipe Oct 28, 2014 @ 10:39am
I dunno, Tina said nothing after the fight, so... she probably will ask for more...
