Grind/Moonstone grind?
What's the difference between a normal grind and a moonstone grind?

moon stone garantee that you will get the best quality gear.

for example...
if you put in three blue and do a normal grind you might get a purple you might get another blue.
moonstones garantee a purple.

plus they have the chance to add a bonus stat to weapon such as ingnoring shields or extra xp etc.

Epensive taste is for grinding to get an orange weapon, I think

Yeah it is, I found the easiest method to get expensive taste was to farm Iwajima. Get two of his Thingy RPG's, and toss in a purple. I used moonstones to guaruntee the legendary equivalent, so I am not sure if you need moonstones to get that achievement. I just wanted to be sure since I had like 300 spare. We need more crazy earl buffs :)
hellos, i was grinding 3 purple items and i got a legendary, not lying, i grinded 3 purple shields, a torgue, a anshin and a dahl or a vladof, i dont remember, without using moonstone and i got the shooting star, i have a picture taken from the game, nice to see you

Believe moonstones are the only way you can get luneshine(stat added) weapons.
i managed to get the regenerator (the best shield IMO) by putting in 3 purple shilds i got from golden chest, and recieved expensive tast achievment. for some odd reason no matter what i have 104 moonstone yet i cant do a moonstone grind.

you can't moonstone grind 3 purples by design. it's intended, don't ask me why. but as you saw, grinding 3 purples has a chance to make a legendary. works with grenades and Oz kits, too. :)

grinding 2 legendaries with a purple CAN be moonstone, and should be. otherwise, there's a chance you'll only get a purple back. the bonus is, you can get a moonshine perk on your legendary (if it's a weapon).

You can't grind three purples because you can get a buttload of them with SHIFT keys, which are given out like candy.

CORRECTION - you CAN grind purples now, and there's a small chance you'll get a legendary out of doing it...I saw this on a gaming website, and just confirmed it. I am not sure if you have to be in UVHM to do it (I was), but it does work.
