REALLY infuriating bug - game minimizes for no reason.

If anyone else has experienced this and knows a fix, PLEASE let me know. I am in the middle of a fire fight and for NO reason the game minimizes, as if I had alt-tabbed it. I changed my mouse, thinking that may have been the cause, but it still happens. I have multi monitors and have disabled my secondary display. It still happens. All I can do is pop the game back up and HOPE that I am still alive.

I have an R9 270X with the latest drivers.

same here but i think it freezes game so you dont have to worrie about dying or at least it freezes for me

Sometimes background programs or programs running in your system tray can cause this to happen.

yup

one of the most common programs that causes this (if you are on a Samgsung computer) is a program called SWMagent. Simply hold Ctrl and Altand tap the Delete button, open the task manager, find the executable file, right click, and kill the process.

You most likely have this type of issue.

I have over 1200 hours in Borderlands 2 and it has not happened a single time. I do not have a Samsung device. This is the only game it happens on. I have over 100 games in my library and none have done this.

TPS does this as well for me sometimes. When it happens, it also shows not responding. I can restart the game but then I recieve a BSOD. I have to restart after so this doesn't happen. Hope a new driver fixes the issue.

I recently had this problem. NBA 2k15 in 1920p resolution, full-screen mode. Playing online and clicking on youtube links posted in chat, youtube opened the window, started the video (video goes all right) but the game did not respond.After that, Whenever i started game from Steam, Nba 2k15 minimized in the task bar, if i select it game re-opened but did not hear the music and did not respond to commands, only the mouse, but when i click mouse buttons game came back to steam / desktop. I noticed that if i wait more time before starting game from steam, problem does not give it to me. I think it's a problem of incompatibility between screens in full screen mode or windowed mode.

OTHERWISE I RESOLVED BY SETTING GAME SCREEN IN '"FULL SCREEN WINDOWED MODE / FULL SCREEN IN WINDOW".

Now I have no problem. I can start Nba 2k15 quickly and click on youtube link in chat. Game doesn't minimize itself and stop working like before.

It's happened to me, before I set Full Screen / Windowed, as mentioned by LAMBRUSCO Thomas, that seems to have fixed it. I have a totally different system than the OP's.
