What are your general thoughts about the laser weapons?

I personally can't say very much about them because I don't use them very often. I think they are ok but most of them don't seem to usefull to me in comparison to other weapon classes

Now that i used them a little more things like blasters and pulse lasers seem to miss a lot of shots which were visually hitting while beams always hit where you aim them.

Lasers are definitely the most powerful weapons in the game, especially with Nisha during showdown. They are also vastly OPed weapons in enemy hands. Both butt slamming and laser weapons deal far too much damage to you in this game. That combined with the ridiculous dodge roll makes combat very tedious in certain situations, especially for a glass cannon like Nisha.

Lasers are very powerful, and the interesting thing about them is that they englobe 4 different types of weapons within themselves.

Dahl barrel lasers, aka "pewpew" or "stormtroopers" lasers, are essentially better assault rifles, they behave very similarly, and have much more advantages.

Maliwan barrel lasers, aka "ghostbusters" lasers, are way too similar to SMGs to me, and again they hold more advantages, the only downside is that they have limited range.

Hyperion barrel lasers, aka "railgun" lasers, are pretty much sniper rifles that hold a much larger ammo pool, lasers even have the same bonus critical damage as sniper rifles, they also pierce through enemies and walls, making them able to snipe multiple enemies in one shot, so you have little reason to use a Sniper unless you have a bonus specific to Snipers.

Tediore barrel lasers, aka "scatterlasers", are laser shotguns, now, this one I actually preffer regular shotguns, because they can have trip or quad barrels that makes them MUCH better than scatterlasers, but if you compre a single barrel or even a double barrel shotgun to a scatterlaser, the laser wins, and similar to snipers, lasers have much larger ammo pool than shotguns.

Overall lasers are just amazing, and they often come off as superior to a similar gun of same rarity, they aren't *quite* overpowered, but they help a lot.

The laser you get from Moxxi and the old rosie or something. Two AWESOME lasers, the old rosie has around 512% continues beam damage. Wrecks everything, so yeah, just because you don't find a good laser does not mean they are bad weapons.
