How to enable the Console on PC

Hey all, have a video I'd like to share on how to enable the Console for Borderlands: TPS. For those that have setup the console in Borderlands 2, it's essentially the same, but i'll show you how:

So you'll want to locate your hard drive that Borderlands the Pre-Sequel is on first, then follow the following file path:
Program Files (x86) > Steam > SteamApps > Common > BorderlandsPreSequel > WillowGame > Config

Then you'll need to open up Default Input.ini and paste the following under [Engine.Console]:
ConsoleKey=Tilde
TypeKey=Backslash
ManualAutoCompleteList=(Command="Stat UNITAVG",Desc="Stat UNITAVG (Shows average hardware unit framerate)")

Here are a few commands you can use in game:
Stat FPS - View your Frames Per Second as well as Monitor input lag
ToggleHud - Allows you to turn on/off the Hud for cool pictures and a quasi-ranger mode
FOV X (X is a number between 1-180) - Allows you to adjust the ingame FOV. Try FOV 180 and make your head explode.

Currently I don't know. However, you could get Third Person to work with Borderlands 2 with Cheat Engine. It was buggy though. Honestly, I think GBX/2K should add some more features to the console. Third Person mode would be cool and allow you to play Borderlands 2 like Gears.

I can't seem to get the console to work. Every time I type command in the console it thinks it is a chat message and and not command. Help

You set the tilde key? You push enter to chat.

You can find all commands in the same path like WillowInput.ini

Open File WillowUI.ini
Go to [WillowGame.WillowUIInteraction]

As of today anyway, WillowUI.ini isn't there.
However, DefaultUI.ini is there, but most of the commands just turn to "say" commands.
So in other words, as far as I can see console is a bust :(

Okay, recently I been looking around. I'm sure it is a bust till I find a way to fix it. It saying I'm talking when I use a command. I spent only a hour on this so far copying and pasting things. All from DefaultUI.ini and then some how I found a older version of this game and it had the WillowInput.ini but even those are the same I tried. So far nothing is working. I been looking online and trying stuff on the game it self. Allot is easy to figure out how to cheat and go into the system. Also been so long I don't remember all ways. I only use the cheats when I get stuck and get pissed on a level or mission after 20 tries or about. yes I figure out at least 10 different ways. I would like any help from anyone, please!

Semi-necro but oh well. You have to enable the developer console and I believe the only way to do that is through hex editing. If you're doing it for 3rd person don't bother because it's 50% ♥♥♥♥. If you're wanting 3rd person just use the cheat engine script on the nexusmods site. It achieves the same thing.

awesome, i shall have to hex edit it into the game i guess, i mean it will show up and do nothing so the hex editing idea i'll see if that makes it active lol
