Moonstone Chests?
Anyone know what the main Benefit of Moonstone Chests are? they just don't seem worth it to me. Ya, you got a good chance at a Purple, but the cost is horrendous (40 even at level 13). It could be arguged that Moonstone is far more common than Eridium was, but Its still strange.

Probably as something to spend Moonstone on after you've upgraded all your backpack,bank,ammo...

The costs are horrendous as long as you are a low-level character. In the early game, you had better spend your moonstones on upgrades. Mid-game, at least according to my experience, you can get some useful purple items from moonstone chests. Towards end-game, they will become rather useless, and you had better spend your moonstones on the grinder, especially in order to create legendaries. A standard grind of two legendary and one purple item has a chance of becoming either a purple or a legendary item. Investing moonstones guarantees you a legendary item.

I once had a lvl 20 smg from a moonstone chest carry me through the final boss of that playthrough. They can be really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ powerful guns. Also, what else do you really have to spend it on? It costs more than 40 moonstones (as well as 6 blue weapons) to get 2 purples from a grinder, and they may not even be luneshine. Or buy some ammo cap increases, but at some point they really become trivial. You're not gonna run out of ammo if you have a reserve of 1500, even if you have an ungodly firerate like me.

It's not that it's a good use for it, it's just that it is one of the less-bad uses for it.
