Why is the release time 12pm (BST)

Just wondering why the release time is at midnight for the UK, if it is only coming out in europe (which means that it will only be a few hours after that at most for most countrys) why is the rease time et for an american release and on a week day, do the publishers not understand that people have work and collage in the morning. I just want some kind of proper answer as to the time.

And yes i know anout the time on steam being screwed up and all but wh yare they releasing it so late. I dont give a toss about the date just the awkward timing?

The overall idea of midnight releases seem to be that they have their rules that they can't launch until day X(where X is any given day, in this case, 17th), so they do their best to get around that by making the game available literally as soon as the clock hits the 17th.

I mean, it is still better than having it launch at 2PM on the 17th.

... or 6 p.m. GMT on the 17th - that's original launch date.

Well, do as i do, and soon will do, as it releases 1 am for me, im going to sleep 7 pm and wake up 3 am as im a bit rested and awake, and play for 4-5 hours :D Have some coffee and cookies and u'll surely manage through :D

Yeah sure, but you can't say its comming on the 10th an than you make a countdown of 30hours on the 10th so its releasing the 11th... there is no much logic behind that...

It was always going to happen that way. The release date for European continent has always been the 17th. So it's hard to understand what people are complaining about when that has always been the expectation.

In defence of the people complaining, the date and time did change, it was saying the 16th(which it still is) but with the timer it was showing it was going to release at 7pm CET.

You can understand why some people would get annoyed at that.
The posters that are treating it like the end of the world, well that's a different matter. ;)

blame EU brick n mortor store dates that been there it does not matter what game besdes CoD or WoW it allways be a friday for Eu stores. but steam should do something on the matter cas this is ballocks

Yeah its not the end but as you said, I was expecting the release at 7pm. And so i came home, kinda happy, and was expecting that I can play that beauty for some houers, just to sea that they changed it again...and I preordered it and it came with the mail the 15th... so i got the cd and case and everything but cant play it. Thats kinda torture... ;)

well i'm sure i checked at 9pm tuesday and it said 1 day 21 hours which to my calculations would be 6pm today so imagine my surprise when i get home today to see that its changed, they didnt move it forward a day just a few hours and to be fair 12am is the 17th so not really great in my book. but theres b**ger all we can do about it so i guess i wont be touching this till i finish work tomorrow as im up at 5:30 in the morning, roll on world release dates.......they're a bunch of lol

note - possibly 7pm then lolz gmt though so not sure, stoppe using my cabbage when i finished wurkzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Releace date 16th...game can be played in 7 hours...that makes it the 17th...well done steam.
