Expect flames from our Aussie friends.
Only had to do this with Dr. Zed's Arm's Dealing mission (BL2) since it's the only one I fail occasionally without doing that. Havent come across any so far that was as hard as that one in BLP-S.
The side quests are ok, some are pretty fun. My only issue with them is the amount of backtracking I have to do. In BL2 I could swipe through a lot of quests in one go and plan out how I'll handle the quests to avoid backtracking. But in this game, they kind of force you to backtrack. For instance, some quest-lines require you turn it in to the questgiver, often in another zone. However, he gives you a follow-up quest that takes place in the zone you just left. It's even worse for zones that don't have fast travel stations (and it feels like this game decided it didn't need as many as BL2 did).
After a while, the backtracking feels intentional; like this is meant to pad the game out a bit more to make up for not being as big as BL2 was.
Another annoying mission was that stupid "To Arms!" quest, where you have to journey to the middle of nowhere and fight a gang of scavs just all in order to donate some weapons to some communist guys. Well, I loaded up all my un-used guns, filled up my inventory with greens and unused blues, then went to find the drop-off point. Lo and behold, after driving to the mailbox and fighting off all those scavs, I activate the mailbox and found that I couldn't deposit ANY of the weapons I brought. At first I thought it was a bug, but searching online I was told that you can only deposit WHITE weapons. Thanks, 2K Australia. I could have used that information FORTY MINUTES AGO.
Also, I didn't mind the Australian accents. I find them sexy. :3
They just feel a bit more immersion breaking than in BL2 and I feel more should be placed along the quest lines so you can do them during the middle of your mission, like the ninja turtles spoof in BL2, just an offshoot of the middle of your mission, or if you please come back to it, much better flow.
