Borderlands may utilize a function from those that Ryse or other games do not, which could theoritcally cause your crash.
Mighty, gpu heat is 41 degrees
One: I use an AMD setup, and there's a problem with the Borderlands games (2+) and the AMD FX series processors - as you're not using AMD, I doubt this is it. That, and the AMD chipset problem causes a blue screen or restart immediately after loading the game, so... again, likey not your problem.
Two: If the game is heating things up more than usualt - I would have to question your power supply over anything else. How big is your power supply? Once upon a time, I had problmes like this with certain games, because my power supply was not large enough when games really started demanding from my rig.
Three: Overheating. I don't know, though. AMD/ATI video cards tend to take high heat very well, in fact it's more or less standard for them to be way hotter than an intel/nvidia setup . Nvidia cards are usually run at much lower temperatures by comparison, and if yours is heating up too much, it may be that the card is actually overheating. The nature of your crash leads me to believe it's this, or that your power supply is not large enough.
I'm just guessing though. I don't have this particular game, only Borderlands 2, and a different setup, but my past expeirence with problems like this with other games leads me to believe the latter 2 might be your problem. Overheating, or not enough power.
To my knowldge, most people who run nvidia cards have significatnly lower temperatures, at least the few people i know that use that setup do... I'm kinda leaning towards overheating unless your power supply is actually very low watt.
Hey, don't sue me if I'm wrong, just kinda putting this out there.
P.S. GPU heats up to 41 degrees Cel when playing borderlands and Ryse, black list etc
Unless your power supply is lower than that, I have a hunch it could be an overheat problem, but if you have other games that do run that high then maybe that's not the prob, if you don't get the restarts then too. =-/
i have a 770 and that one is known to heat up to about 77c but sinds borderlands isnt out in europe yet i cant give you the precise temperature. But for assasin's creed it will be like 77. Only thing i use is MSI afterburner.
PS i have 700 watt psu so that is more than enough.
