Mouse sensitivity floor in BL:TPS/BL2 engine = please fix!
Executive summary: The mouse sensitivity cannot be adjusted low enough.

I am coming from a background in CS:GO (900 hours played) and other competitive shooters before that, quake, quake 3, unreal, etc. I usually play FPS games with a low mouse sensitivity. My preferred setting for general play results in 11.5" of mouse movement = 180 degrees of in-game turning. The basic idea behind this choice is that the greatest necessary motion required in any situation is 180 degrees and that the whole mouse space (pad/mat/desk) should be used for that movement.

The lowest possible setting in BL games (10) results in a very high sensitivity with a 180 degree turn taking only 2.5" of mouse movement. This is nearly 4 times more sensitive then I prefer. I think it would be a good feature to allow players to set an arbitrary value, but allowing the slider to go lower would a good solution too.

My solution for this problem is to use a xbox360 controller, but it would be cool if I could use my mouse and of course it should be preferred that every player is able to use their ideal mouse sensitivity.

Thanks for reading and I hope we get this feature soon!

I had the same problem with Borderlands 2. The two solutions I found were this:

...or by using Cheat Engine to manually lower the value below ten, which is a pain all by itself because then it's a ten step process.

Still, I'd love to see support for it. It'd be nice to be able to just set my sensitivity without lowering my DPI or using third party tools.

"Executive summary: The mouse sensitivity cannot be adjusted low enough. " LOL?

they screwed that up in Soruce engine, so you cant get a normal mouse setting, IE they made it easyer for noobs to play and harder for people with skill to play.

low settings isnt what you want, lel.

You could use the same argument to strip away any number of features from the game. Why have a brightness setting if you can change it in your OS? Why have key bind options if you can change the keyboard layout in your OS? Why have a game at all if you can just play solitaire in windows?

You're right; you can do this with a cheat engine and you can also use a hexeditor to modify your config .ini and then make it read-only in your OS. I am unwilling to use these types of solutions though as I don't want a VAC ban and I don't want to mess with the core function of the game by removing its ability to modify my configs.

I know what I want thank you.

Does this problem still exist in TBS? I was tempted several times to buy TBS, but the sensitivity issue in BL holds me back.
I am a relatively high sens player (Q3 background, not CS) and even for me the sesitivity setup is screwed up. With my Razer Abyssus 2014 the lowest setting in BL2 (10) is still about double the sensitivity that I want. So I have to use my old mechanical Logitech Pilot. Here I can use sensitivity 20 and the sensitivity is fine. But Mouse button 2 is broke and the mouse is really like 10-15 years old. So this is not really a solution.
Keep in mind, I am a high sens player...

Yo, I know this topic is literally 2 years old but there's always gonna be people like me looking for a guide on how to get their preferred mouse sens so I really have to point out: Neither BL2 nor the pre-sequel are protected by VAC. There is absolutely no anti-cheat system in place. It is literally impossible for you to get a VAC ban.
