How to get 3rd gun slot?

So I've been playing for a while (im level 14) and how do you/when do you get the 3rd gun slot? Thanks.

I think it's in the main story arc. A mission called 'Intelligences of an Artificial Persuasion' or something similar to that. It's the prize for completing the mission.

Yea, I,m level 14 also and on same mission and I'm really starting to hate this O2 crap: everytime I ger 3/4 up I'm gasping for air and on last legs, feels like I'm a friggin jumping-bean!

Yeah, that's one of the reasons why I picked Claptrap. O2 just seems annoying to deal with.

I wish I would have thought of that , I'm ready to quit Wilhelm and play claptrap also.. I've never spent a longer time on a mission in any Borderlands, I think they brought the ghost of Timothy Leary in on the development team!

Claptrap is pretty fun. If you are playing solo you can max out the other skill trees since one of them is based on providing your team buffs. Also, do you have a problem with fight for your life? Normally I'm fine and I get up but sometimes the enemies just hop away, leaving me dead.

I am having no problem with O2, I only ever run out when I am using the air boost to move around faster... which I do all the time so I run out often, but in that case it is 100% my fault, so I can't blame the game on that.
