Locked Frame Rate Bug?
I have my framerate set to unlimited but it's still locked at 60. Anyone else experiencing this? I have an i7 4770K, an Nvidia GTX 780ti, both overclocked, so it's not a question of my rig not being able to go above 60 fps.

Also, can't get a steam overlay in game. All other games have steam overlay except for this one.

Vsync is off too?

Locked at 60 fps when off too. I can play Borderlands 2 maxed out with Phys X cranked at a consistent average of 120 fps btw. There isn't a game that I can't play at max settings at well over 60 fps, even Battlefield with 64 players on a map.

vsync will lock it at 60 pretty sure like always...other then that idk

Wingnut -- I launched Borderlands 2 while still in the Pre-Sequel & I got 110 fps with vsync on & all max settings. I played the pre sequel for a few minutes & went back into Borderlands 2 & now it is also locked at 60 fps, just like the pre-sequel. WTF?
Sounds like a third party software of some sort, if a reboot doesn't fix it then think about what else is running. MSI Afterburner or anything that could possibly impose a limiter through hotkey or other means. Reboot would be a temporary solution if that were the case.

Other than that nvidia drivers have adaptive vsync. If this is on globally it would affect everything. It's hard to guess.

There's a setting that locked framerate in game

There's a framerate settings in the Video category in the settings menu, I use Unlimited + Vsync

I use unlimited too but vsync off

Same here, I have framerate set to unlimited and Vsync off, but it's still capped at 60.

Yeah it's just one of those things I guess, Boxer. Only change I've seen is that when I set vsync to off it now unlocks the frame rate & I get between 90 & 125 fps, with the exception of a few areas on Triton Flats where my fps drops to a stutterring 15 to 20 fps.

You never dip below 60Fps in BL2? that cannot be true D: i always drop below 60fps in PhysX situations.. look at my profile for specs..PhysX is a total mess.. i can get as high as 190 fps, but it always drops.. newest drivers and bla.

you are also playing at 1440p and there is pretty big difference between 1080p and 1440, so dipping below 60 does not happen so easily when you have decent GPU in 1080p.
also if you want to get all out of your machine, get a ASUS ROG SWIFT g-sync 144hz monitor.

Ahem, i own two Asus Nvidia GTX780Ti DCU2OC's heavily overclocked plus a 750Ti for PhysX alone.. i shouldn't get framerate drops anywhere below 60 at all, yet it does happen because the PhysX implementation is completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up.. there are quite a few others with the same issue and with similar rigs.. some say it runs above 60fps and never drops.. even with worse GPU's such as just a 760, or 670 and whatnot.. it somehow cannot be the fault on my computer since i built it freshly a month ago.. drivers and everything is uptodate, physX drivers aswell.. and no i'm quite happy with my current Monitor the PB278Q 2560x1440p 60hz is plenty for now, i'll upgrade to a good quality 4K Monitor, eventually this new Asus one once i get my hands on two GTX980ti's when they come out.

relax mate,
never said that physX does not make difference or that your computer is at fault. i just added that your resolution is higher than what is normally used (1080p that is standart at this moment). i run BL2 with my old 670 gtx without dropping below 70, all maxed. haven't tested with my new 980 gtx at 1440p.

Okay what magical card do you have? how can a old 670 never drop below 60fps with physx on high? D: That's voodoo! Just kidding. Seriously now, i don't get it.. a 780Ti is way more powerful but it drops below 60fps, i even tried it in 1080p, heck even in 720p and it still happened.. a few friends of mine have that issue too even with 980's so there must be something that's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up.. i have no clue what.
Could you like, eventually be so kind and stream a bit of BL2 Gameplay on twitch or somewhere.. with the fraps counter? and go to PhysX heavy areas such as Sawtooth Cauldron, Caustic Caverns, the area where Brick as Slab king is, Thousand Cuts, and overlook? i'd just love to see a proof that is all >.<
