what's the best character to start with ?

i got the game and i'm confused what character should i start with i know i'll try all characters later with what's the best one to start with

It depends on your play style.

-If you like the medic/elemental damage/tank play style then athena is good
-If you like the idea of basically being an hyperion robot then Wilheilm is good. He has his sheild/health regen drones that basically become bombs and missiles.
-If you're good with snipers, melee, and pistols then Nisha will be good.
-Claptrap isn't really that good of a starter character but he's effing hilarious and if you want to just have a good silly time screwing around then pick him.

Just read up on their skill trees and pick what suits you best. My opinion is Athena is a pretty safe bet if you're unsure.

Agree with Blueangel here, but Wilhelm is pretty easy to start with to. Just deploy your drones and hide ^^

claptrapis awesome. good stat-wise? he's alright, but he's probably the most fun character in the whole series.

Claptrap is the most difficult to play and master, due to so much randomization, but he's byfar stronger than Athena and Wilhelm.
Nisha is the cheap aimbot that gets crits for killing one enemy.

I'd have to side with Nisha on this one, although pretty gear dependent, it's totally worth it once you get a hold of a gun that you think fits you best, particularly if you just like slugging it out on a stand off
