Jack poisoned Wilhelm, and The General Knoxx thing was before TPS and she was on the side of the vault hunters.

The game's story made me reconsider who really were the heroes of BL2. Jack's out for vengeance, and he ends up getting a piece of it. GG Jack, Wp.

Jack is NOT a good guy, scoop a man's eyes out in front of his kids, hire bandits to kill his granny, shoot someone in the head and have the rest of the group killed after he said he would release them all, what he did to Angel, how he deceived the Vault Hunters in first Borderlands and so many more things.

Things were likely not handled in the way they should have been, totally flipping him out but he was damaged goods from the start.

No, I played all the games, collected many echos, listened to what NPCs including Jack said.

This was a good theory, but it missed the entire point to the games' story.
There are no heroes or villains in Borderlands.

The Vault Hunters want to stop Jack from wiping out their friends and planet. They want to stop Jack, but don't really have a plan afterwards. They betrayed Jack, but Jack had already enslaved his daughter before Borderlands: TPS, which shows that Jack isn't this "Do-Gooder" that the theory is implying him to be.

Jack wants to bring order to a planet by killing all the inhabitants. Jack may want to bring order and kill the ones who betrayed him, but he does hurt innocents. He has already enslaved Angel by the beginning of Borderlands 1 and has done Slag testing on innocents like Krieg and Tiny Tina's Parents.

jack was just a programmer in TPS he had 0 power till basically taking over concordia. i have a feeling hyperion took custody of angel and did that to her and since she couldn't survive long after what was done he just did his best with the situation. but as the video quotes "either you die a hero, or live long enough to become the villain" the jack in TPS was a decent guy. he was going to let the meriff go. infact he acts like that was his first moment of cold blooded murder. THAT!! was his trigger... matpat is right. huckster was the seed. and lilith destroying the artifact was the fertilizer. and a magalomoniacal nutbar grew

There's nothing in the pre-sequel that implies Hyperion did it to Angel, if anything, the pre-sequel establishes that the Helios Station was never meant to exist in the first place, remember it was Jack who assigned Angel to trick the vault hunters in the first game, Angel herself makes it clear in borderlands 2 that it was Jack who pumped her full of eridium and plugged her into the AI core

Jack was already planning to commit genocide and wipe out all human life on Pandora, it's the only reason Lillith, Roland and Moxxi turn on him in the first place

Man I missed Angel's as guide like back on borderlands 2 the part where they added real life person to be shown on screen everytime she talked to us.

1. Jack enslaved Angel, not Hyperion. BL2 Echos prove it
2. Mattpat IS right about Jack being a good guy, but so are the Vault Huters. Jack is trying to commit Genocide, the Vault Hunters are keeping chaos.

In the end the vault hunters and the people of sanctuary are the lesser evil on pandora
