Best SMG class?

Does anyone have an opinion on who gets the most out of using smgs? It's my favorite weapon class but I haven't really noticed any skills or class mods that seem to heavily favor them over other weapons.

Athena has the Femme Fatale COM, which boosts SMG damage and mag size, and provides bonuses to Unrelenting and Gathering Tempest (It also boosts Mercurial, but nobody bothers with that skill).

I'd go with Athena too, especially shock or fire SMGs

Jack can sort of use them if u invest on a RoF build, bullets won't last long though.

Somewhat of an alternate option for you might be Nisha. I've seen some incredible damage while using a "firing increases accuracy" SMG, coupled with her Showdown ability (her cooldown skill) and her Quick Shot ability. Basically, if you reload and then go into Showdown you will very quickly and accurately kill enemies at far distances.

She also has other skills that activate after reloading/being reloaded that add to this including Hell's Comin' With Me! which allows you to shoot twice (by chance) after you reload.

Aurelia + Chronicler of Elpis mod - Best SMG in my opinion

Large Caliber (10/10) + IVF (cryo better) and saves more ammo in reloads, she's deadly.
Cold Advance (10/10) + Frost Bite (10/10) + Fridga, with the x2 per shot, if u stay in critical-points of mob, ur Special Skill never ends, and deals a lot of dmg
