So in this arena mode i keep getting stuck with an enemy that is not visible, i can see them on the mini map but they're just not there.

I've sent out wolf who can normally clip through terrain and kill enemies in similar situations but that also is not working, it just flies around as though there is no enemy

3 out of my 6 tries in this arena have had this issue - is there any known way to prevent this from happening? Is kinda killing the fun of messing with the mutators when every other attempt results in an impossible to finish wave.

Invisible enemies, glitches can go invisible and do absolutely nothing.

It might be a spyware bot. I think they're invisible. There's a steam achievement for killing them before they take a photo of you. I haven't been able to kill one yet, but I know that I've been hit by them (you hear a loud camera shutter sound).

If it happens again, try either shooting at it (using map as guidance) or approaching it as close as you can so that it attacks you.

It's an Identity Theaf bot. They like to be invisible. It helps to keep still untill they come to you. It's easiest with Athena, since the shield homes on it

Not always Identity Theft. This happens to me quite often, on several types of enemies. So far, I've manage to find each one by inspecting the area carefully (using the minimap, of course) and listening carefully, and then just running around, jumping & slamming, firing etc. until it eventually gets out of the structure far enough for me to kill it.

Occasionally Identity Theft bots won't decloak, but they will if you're patient and try to provoke them. I've never had to quit in disgust and frustration yet using this method (prime ingredient: patience).
