How do I grind moonstones?

This may be a really stupid question, but how do you grind moonstones? I've never been able to get an option to use them and I even had two legendaries I got from that hidden Kraggon in Serenity's Waster and used a purple item, but I got no option to do a grind with moonstones. Am I missing something? Am I the only one with this problem? And if so, what do I do?

Also, I should point out that I have literally tried many of the formulas and rarities. 3 white guns, green guns, blue guns, and even purple guns. I don't know if I need three of the same guns to do the grind, nor do I think level of the gun matters as long as it's relatively close to what the other 2 guns are, but I am not having any luck with it, nor do I see an option how to grind.

Some grinds don't take moonstones, but most do.

Chances are you just don't have enough.

How many do you have?

If you have enough the option to moonstone grind will work in the grinder menu/window.

It's touch a go at this point. The grinder was damaged pretty heavily during the last DLC release and their hotfix didn't do much beyond stopping game crashes. the moonstonegrind/grind options have got a little messy since, but you should be able to moonstone grind the combonation mentioned above. Give them a while (I wish I could say a bit, but they haven't done any of the fixes quickly so far) and it should hopefully be working correctly soon.

I have a little over 30. Do I need 50 or so?

depends on the rarity and level of the items you're grinding. for example, 3 level 50 purple guns takes 150 moonstones, meaning 50 each because of their level and rarity. if it was 2 level 50s and a 49 it will take l49 moonstones.

atleast that's how it worked the last time i played. haven't played with the new patch, it's been said that it charged/messed up the formula
