Thanks but i was talking more about which skill path to go with.
No thanks im only playing with my friend so we'll stick at the same level.
Green is going to help power up your Jack's for longer and keep them alive. This is dfinitly fun for mobbing, but terrible for bosses.
Blue is going to give you quicker dieing Jack's that are very useful to spam shock nova's and trigger kill skill. IT's capstone (leadership) makes your Jack's dieing count as kill as well and is pretty much a staple of the class.
Red is going to give you etxra power, but you have to jump through very specfic hoops to get it. So far I've tried G/B no red and b/r with only best foot foreward from green. Both we're able to easily beact the game at level 60+ B/Rwith bestt foot foreward deifinitly kills faster though.

unless, of course, you want to triple your damage output, then it's great.
none of Jack's skill trees are bad.
in normal mode, the doppleganger tree is just fine to focus on until you hit at least level 30. after that, you might decide you want a more powerful jack, in which case, you will want to examine the other two trees.
I built a pure hyperion jack that did MASSIVE damage with his tri-laser, no problems taking down the final boss basically as soon as his "heads" finished spawning, meaning I killed him faster than the animations could spawn the next phase in.
Jack is also a madman with grenades, you can make a truly legit grenade build with him. BUT... what's more... you can use grenades to reload your other weapons (weird, yes), which makes him an absolute beast with glitched weapons... when you get that far into the game.
Jack of all trades indeed. I think he might be the single most well rounded character in any of the borderlands games.
oh, and DO put a point into inspiration... it does nothing statistically, but you'll get a kick out of it for a while.
Btw is the badass digijack skillcap worths it (on normal mode)?
if you are a run-and-gun type, always moving fast and large distances, your jacks will constantly respawn as you move, and the baddass skill is no longer as valuable.
then you want jacks that do things like shocwave on spawn, explode when die, etc.
I'm more of the slow mover, high firepower kinda guy, so I got a lot of use out of badasses.
on the higher difficulties though... like UVHM, you probably will want to go run and gun and focus more on your jacks as distractions and sources for kill skills (meaning the middle tree).
but in the normal game... I had a ton of fun with baddasses. they not only kill well, they make fun comments too.
they will make arena style combat sooooo easy for you. you can just hang out inside an air filled building, blowing away anyone who comes through the door, while your jacks take care of anyone outside.
easiest time I ever had with any of the arena style fights in any of the borderland series.
I find the jacks to be much more verasatile and useful than even gaige's sidekicks were in BL2.

but again, that's a very late game build, since you won't really have ready access to glitch weapons until you can at least survive the early parts of the DLC, which IIRC is level 40?
I prefer to learn the game on my own now, just wanted a few tips on good skills. Also for your question earlier, since im playing it for the first time, it'll be a slow exploration rather than 'running and gunning'. Perhaps i should respec into the Hero tree then.
That's my jack right now. The site doesn't have the holdome legendary class mods though, so I can't put it on there. It's boosting company man to 9/5 for a +18% crtical hit damage/piece of hyperion gear equiped. It's boosting optimism to 5/5 to help make the jacks cie even faster and trigger collaberation's max damage boost asap. It's also boosting winning as well, so I get 45% shield restoration and 32% movement speed.
