Any good claptrap builds?

The person I play borderlands with can't be bothered having a skill tree or any of that. Are there any good builds that you guys have?

Ugh claptrap. The issue I have with this character is that when you need long range like fighting a boss it gives a melee skill. Need close up work oh you must need a bouncing ducky. Ugh. Fun in the early levels very annoying in the upper levels. Sorry just have to vent.

Some players like Claptrap. I am not a fan. The minute it takes for Claptrap to pick a skill, I get murdered. And once you go into fight for your life, that is the end of your skill. Ughh!

You can do your best if you stick to the RH skills, your team will still hate you but it gives you much better damage and odds.

Start with "Safety First" and the left tree.

Slot1: Fridgia
Rest: Ravager, Torguemada, Flakker, Laser Disker, etc.

Shield: Avalanche
Nade: Quasar
Oz: Arctic Bomber
Com: Purple Audacious Sapper

Claptrap has some good group friendly parks in the middle tree, and some good solo perks in the left hand tree. I never liked the randomness of the right-hand tree -- if I want to use a shotgun, I don't want a damage penalty if the game decides I should be using pistols.

but there are some solid claptrap builds. check the steam guides.

For levelling, I'd suggest the left tree, some of the talents get you back from FFYL really easy. claptrap sometimes gets knocked down easier but he can often get right back up almost instantly.

edit, avoid the grenade perk that unlocks Torque Fiesta. unless you just want to use it once for achievement. it shoots grenades everywhere, but you can hurt yourself or your team with it, so its useless
