i honestly don't care for either of them. i've played every character, but the only ones i enjoyed playing with are athena and wilhelm.
Unfortunately, she's a glass cannon.
Personally I like Jack, tho honestly thats half for the roleplay value of playing the bad guy. i haven't tried the countess yet -- looking over her skill tree reminded me of mordecai's skills -- designed for a sniper style. but since I h aven't tried it cant say.
I think the season pass was ok. the 2 classes + the claptrap DLC are ok. The arena DLC annoyed me, BL arena DLCs have always been lame.
I guess the problem is I compare it to the Game of the Year edition of BL2 - which had 3 good content DLCs (Torgue, Capt Scarlet + Tina's) one so so content (Hammerlocks) and 2 dlc classes (gaige + krieg). BL2 being so awesome makes BL:tps look less amazing in comparison.
so... to try to answer your question --- Jack is fun, but sometimes his clones seem to be doing more than you are. so there is a little danger of feeling less "in the heat of the action". but otherwise is a fun class. countess, you should get someone else's opinion, but to me she looks like a class that won't appeal to everyone.
