Joining a new coop friend with my leveled character
So today a friend of mine bought this game. I already played it for some time and so I went into his lobby with my slightly leveled character and he started his first fresh game. We both saw the intro and then it told me the following:

- I could reset my existing character to level 1 (Would I keep my loot and my story progress with this character?)

- I can make a new one.

I just pressed escape as often as I could and got into the game with my normal leveled character.

But I don't understand the "Reset Level" option...
Could somebody give me an explanation on that?

Thanks in advance.

Hi there again!

No, you can't reset your character level, however you can create a new character many times as you want.

You can keep your other character loot and transfer it to your new character with the Claptrap's police stash.

Reset Level option? I never saw this option in the game...

Well he invited me into his session and at the character selection I saw this little prompt pop up which told me that I can reset my character. Maybe it's mistranslated because I'm playing the german version.

Oh, I see. Maybe I don't saw never this message because I never enter in a multiplayer session.

In that case, I'm sorry for the misunderstanding.

Regards.
