Is Nisha fun to play?
First time I've played this and it's the only BL game I've never played. Classes look pretty good kind of torn on which one to start with though. I'm not sure Athena's shield skill looks interesting to me though gameplay wise.

Is Nisha basically the BTBS version of Zero and Mordecai?

I would say Claptrap is the funnier top play especially with friends.
Nisha is ok tho, she's a cow-girl so if you like do head-shot and make kill-streaks she's the character you need.
Aurelia is closer to Zero and Moredcai for sniping. Twoof her trees are largely oriented around sniping and cyro (her action skill is a cryo based attack). A third is kind of an unique master/servant multiplayer build, you sign a contract with another player and they becoming your servant and the tree gives you/your servant buffs.

Nisha is short of a gunslinger. One of her trees is focused around her action skill Showdown, pistols and non-elemental damage. Another tree is focused around quickly killing, firing, reloading - basically killing things really fast. Another tree is kind of a mixed combat one I think. Showdown, her action skill, is basically an aim-bot, activate and hold down your mouse until everything dies - with a legendary class mod you can make it heal you as well so are nearly unkillable with it up. So I guess pistol build Nisha is kind of similar to Mordecai, if I recall correctly he had a tree in B1 for pistols.

Nisha can certainly be played as a sniper, I suppose there's some overlap with Mordecai and Zer0. I think of her as being a bit similar to Salvador, only .. not as broken.

Athena's up-down rhythm tends to remind me of Axton. Athena has more skills that are melee focused as well.

Claptrap is weird. I personally couldn't stand playing AS Claptrap, but ... some people love it.

Nisha's particularly fun to play if you're a major fan of Jakobs (non-elemental) arms with their high per shot damage & high fire rates. Try your best to start equipping the Jakobs' Nisha-specific Legendary Class Mod "Celestial Lawbringer" at the earliest reasonably possible in the game; it drops from The Empyrean Sentinel at a relatively regular & decent rate. Have fun :steamhappy:
