If I had to guess, I'd assume that the rarity of the elemetal versions would probably be similar, but ... that's just a guess.

EDIT: As soon as I say I'd settle for a fire one about now I get a electric one.
Yeah, Shock would definitely be my first choice for Athena. With a Melee attachement.
Awkward. Oh well, needed two good lightning weapons to swap between for Storm Weaving. Should make EOS farming faster. I was using a lightning laser, but the pistol does 16.5% more damage than the cheat code, whereas it did 38.9% more damage than the laser I was using so still a big improvement.
I think I'm calculating damage right anyway.
Pistol shows:
Damage: 2115x2
Accuracy: 81.2
Fire Rate: 6.2
Reload: 2.2
Magazine Size: 38
Shock Damage / sec. 1136.3
Electrocute Damage: 12.0%
Cheat Code:
Damage: 2145
Accuracy: 95.8
Fire Rate: 8.7
Reload: 2.3
Magazine Size: 29
Shock Damage / sec. 1512.5
Electrocute Damage: 10.0%
I calculated Pistol like:
.12 * 1136.3 * 2 = 136+2115=2251*2=4502
4502*6.2=27,912 "fake dps".
Then taking its magazine size and dividing it by 2 as it fires 2 bullets per shot to get 19.
19/6.2=3.1 seconds to empty the clip
2.2 to reload it
3.1/(3.1+2.2)=.5849 ie. the gun is potentially firing bullets 58.49% of the time, so multiply its fake dps by .5849 to get 16,326, and then multiply that by .812 to factor in accuracy.
I think that's the best way to determine relative dps between weapons? I have a spreadsheet setup, except it also multiplies damage per shot by 1.18, fire rate by 1.24, multiplies clip size by 1.8, and divides the reload speed by 1.5 to factor in the stat boosts I have on athena.
The prt that might be wrong I think is the calculation for the lightning portion of the damage.
As far as I was able to find online:
Cryo DOTs last for 8 seconds
Ice DOTS last for 6 seconds
Fire DOTS last for 5 seconds
Lightning DOTs last for 2 seconds
Hence the:
.12 * 1136.3 * 2 = 136+2115=2251*2=4502
calculation early on
If anyone knows if any of those durations are wrong though I'd very much appreciate them correcting me.
Not very scientific I'm afraid.
