^^ This. Hence the name pre-sequel. Sequel to Borderlands 1... prequel to Borderlands 2. It takes place between 1 and 2.
games:
1. Borderlands
2. Borderlands 2 (the sequel for those that don't follow numbers)
3. Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel (because the events in the game happen previous (PRE) to the sequel)
Borderlands 2: The Prequel would make sense.
Borderlands 2: The Pre-Sequel would not make any sense at all.
They are just playing on already established terms: sequel and prequel.
The thing is that most other developers would probably have named it Borderlands 2: the Prequel. In my opionion...calling it the Pre-Sequel actually fits in with the whole tongue-in-cheek nature of the Borderlands universe.
What is "grammer"? Is that a word you made up?
What is "boardlands"? I'm not familiar with whatever that is, so it's hard for me to understand your argument.
I thought he was just bringing up something he read on an FAQ about the game.
