the copy of borderlands is bought from the steam store, i put the patch and complete loot over haul in the binarys folder and i write exec patch.txt when trying to launch in game, i got the console to work with hex editor, still isnt launching the patch or overhaul when trying to start them

Had the same with BL2 originally so wondering if you are also Overlooking (BL2 pun...) it like I did...

If the folder is named Patch.txt then type it with uppercase P, it has to be right about 100 % on point, otherwise you are trying to exec some other folder, thats the only thing that comes in mind

folder; Patch.txt -> exec Patch.txt
folder; patch.txt -> exec patch.txt

didnt work, same with the overhaul, its not a problem with naming, i tried everyway of spelling it starting with the correct one

(If you don't have other 3rd party programs for BL:TP-S) Then you must've made a misake at some point by yourself. Just redo everything from Step #1 onwards.

already tried this, i reinstalled the patch, put it in the folder after deleting the old one than i launhced again, could i have stuffed up the hex editor part?

Well that is the only tricky part of the whole process, if you messed up there, you really want to hope you have backup of your Borderlands.exe

OP Have you read the developers' dedicated UCP TPS dialogs on the Gearbox Forums? They recommended users be knowledgeable in Hex Editing. They can help if you want to post over there. Please make sure to read OP's opening comment. https://forums.gearboxsoftware.com/t/tps-unofficial-community-patch-thread/1560098 Have fun :steamhappy:

Use the automated patcher, makes both the hex editing part and adding a console key as easy as it can be https://github.com/bugworm/BorderlandsPatcher/releases/

this is the message i get when i launch now, i used filter tool to enable a fair bit of stuff and its not working, vendors still give fairly bad loot, my ammo doesnt instant refill to max on click either. my kerblaster has a good fire rate now so somthings working, not everything though, not too sure if enemys are dropping patch legendarys even, i farmed for about 25 mins and got nothin from darksiders.
Ah, that's because you gotta load into main menu, wait a few seconds, *then* run the patch (and/or any other mods)
Also, the ammo refill (and other features) are optionals and disabled by default. They can be enabled with FilterTool

ok, i did enable the ammo auto refill and make vendors great again, ill retry and wait a minute or 2
No need to wait that long, only about as much as it takes for SHiFT to log in
