best solo characters?
i believed that nisha, athena and jack are good solo dps characters. nisha is purely dps, athena has a combo of offense and defense, and jack is somewhat, forgive the pun, "jack-of-all-trades"

can you clarify and if im wrong please correct me

thank you

Dunno. It's more personal preference.
My personal favs in TPS are Clappy, Jack, and Wilhelm.

Nisha while having godtier damage is also made out of glass. In short im sure most people are going to agree that Jack is the best character in the game :)
Of all that I played, Jack is the easier from start. Especially if you choose the green build.
Nisha is tricky, her special require to aim for more efficient shooting, and she might end up taking too much damage.

Can't remember ClapTrap. I played like 80% of the game with him like 1 year ago, and stopped playing TPS. Now I'm back and playing with each class at the same time. XD

Jack is the Sal of TPS - he's virtually indestructible which also makes him kinda boring imho. Best balanced character is probably Nisha although she can be a bit challenging to defend - using the right game items, she can be tanky enough. Claptrap is totally nuts to play - lots of fun and totally different than any other playable class Gearbox ever created. Have fun :steammocking:

Those are all great beginning choices for solo play.

Nisha was the easiest character for me, double pistols+tombstone is deadly.

Jack is damned strong and is a great tank.

I only got Athena to level 30, but she was already pretty OP at that point. I love her defensive action skill.

claptrap does not breath so you can boost all you want and not end up killing yourself. his piratship is awsome too though he has a lot of team abilites in his skill trees.

No he is not even remotely close rofl. Where did you dig up from?
Nisha is what you would call Salvador of TPS. Jack has nothing in common with Salvador what so ever. If you ever have taken both Nisha and Jack to 70 and get optimal gear for their best build you can clearly see that Nisha melts everything while Jack dont. Nisha destroys bosses > Jack does not even come clos to the same kill speed.

Go elemental Athena and she will be the easiest character to take trough 1-70. ~ The aegis is just broken you can litterly tank everything thats shot at you while you have it up.

You dont need to play Fragtrap for that. You can almost boost infinite amounts without never running out of Oz if you just keep killing enemies. Even when moving from A to B you are very unlikely to run out of Oz if you manage it well enough and have good air movement.

Nisha is fun, but her only heal is a kill skill, which can make her a bit tricky to play sometimes.

Athena is really tough when her shield is up. Wilhelm is similar to Axton, good all-around, good survivability.

The other three are all to weird for me to enjoy playing.
(Claptrap may be funny, but I don't care for the unpredictability of his action skill. Jack seems to have this weird psychological dichotomy where he plays like a brave, confident Vault Hunter, but has the personality and manerisms of a low-self esteem, geeky college student. Aurelia plays okay I suppose, but she feels like an after thought in terms of scripting.)
