Missables
Understanding that there is nothing technically permanently misable, are there any challenges such as the one for keeping the turrets alive in BL2?
Anything that I would need to do an UVHM reset or drop into another players game to do if I miss?
All my googling has just given me a bunch of "no" but since they say the exact same thing for BL2 (which DOES have such missables)....

I see another challenge with for the boss related to Dead Weight (Insulated) are they both missable?
Does the boss not respawn or whats up with that being missable?
Is there a full list somewhere?
Thanks for your answer so far BTW. Like I said earlier, most of what I was finding was "no misables at all"

The boss does respawn, but only 1 of the 3 Dead Lift challenges are missable.

Here's a list of them, in order that you'll run into them.

Regolith Range - Dead Weight
Concordia - Clairvoyant
Abandon Training Facility - All 3 are missable, I think.
Pity's Fall - Engineering 201
Pity's Fall - A Conventional Death
Titan Industrial Facility - Fast Shooter
Titan Industrial Facility - Be Quick or Be Dead
Titan Robot Production Plant - I Can Do This Alone (the hardest missable to even do)
Tycho's Ribs - That Was Your Own Fault (i'm not sure if this is a missable)

The boss of the Titan R.P.P. also has missable heads, that only drop from the story mission fight (and not it's respawn version). So if you're into getting all the heads you want to use for your character, you'll be ALT + F4ing quite a bit everytime that boss drops it's loot during the story mission and you don't get what head you want.

There's also some missable achievements. One is from a quest choice in a side mission (side with the Steve Irwin-ish guy at Vorago Solitude). The others are from the Clap-trap DLC (there's a community guide for those).

There are badass challenges you can miss. For example you have to do dead weight during the mission playthrough or Concordia where you have to open an area before the Moxxi mission brings you there.

The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

THANK YOU!
Do we know why only the one is missable for Dead Lift?

Pretty sure because it's buggy. Some sources say it's only doable during the mission, but it didn't trigger for me in 3/3 times, and if you jump over to him without jumppad, he doesn't spawn. Otherwise he regularly respawns, but only award points for the not-getting-shocked challenge and the don't-lose-shield challenge. Obviously Dead Weight also doesn't get fulfilled if you go in from the back without ever using a jump pad, otherwise it would not be missable

I hate this. I HATE this. Missable challenges are just... pointless and frustrating.

I recently beat the Constructor prototype for the first time; on the way there, I got the first door challenge easily enough on my first try, but the one at the end of the level was just impossible. People doing videos for it either have a launcher with rockets that travel faster than my sniper bullets, or in a couple cases they were obviously overpowered (level 50 in what looked to be NVHM). Great.
Then the "I can do this alone" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Again, I checked videos, people just seem to easily body-block the robot, while it seemingly just walked right through me to engage the exo-suits in that second room. Gave up after a couple of tries, either you need to be pixel-perfect in your placement or they changed something.
Worst thing was the boss itself. I shot its legs with a corrosive sniper rifle for a good 10 minutes... and its arm cannons broke. WTF... At least this one respawns - oh wait, the story-only version has rare head drops for each character? F*** you, I'll just gib them myself , if that's how you're going to play.

I understand darth, I really really do.
And thanks Ghuldarkar, that is kinda what I thought

One final question (maybe hopefully) confirming something
Does resetting UVHM reset your chance at those challenges?
To my knowledge it should (it did for the turret challenge in BL2) but... >.<
Draekus May 29, 2019 @ 10:29am
resetting UVHM will not reset your challenges.
Nobody May 29, 2019 @ 11:42am
I don't mean challenge progress, but chances at the one shot-per-playthrough challenges.
IE
Things like Dead Weight.
IE
If I reset UVHM would I be able to try that again
Draekus May 29, 2019 @ 1:06pm
i would say reset UVHM. it MIGHT reset.

won't know if you don't try.
Nobody May 29, 2019 @ 1:14pm
Well thanks to the buggy nature of games sometimes even if you try you don't know.
I know there are plenty of times things work for me that "should NOT" and times things dont that "should" so I was hoping for some pre-existing knowledge (one of the advantages of waiting so long before starting a game... usually :P )

Hi sorry for reviving this thread after 2.5 months but I'm curious if you now have answer to resetting UVHM ? Or if the missable challenges are doable by joining another players playthrough ? Thank you.
Nobody Aug 19, 2019 @ 10:43am
I actually havent even really launched the game in about that long. Due partially to the floatiness of it (I think) I do not like it anywhere near as much as BL2

There is a save-editor called Gibbed. With that you can set or unset flags (that's how the game checks if you did a quest or not) for every quest in the game. It's how people farm certain quest reward weapons. Remember to make a backup copy of your savegame before editing. I think that should solve your problem. Also I think all challenges are technically doable in someone else's game, though sometimes programming doesn't quite work how you think it should.
