Favorite gun in UVHM?
What's your favorite gun to use in UVHM? (I'm especially interested in your favorite Laser).

Personally, I'm awfully fond of the Vibra-Pulse. But I like the Zx-1 too. Only problem there is that there's lots of places where there's no oxygen which limits it a bit.

Great Post! My favored Level 65+ UVHM Nisha load-out [all legendaries] ...
1) Jakobs Loaded Luck Cannon Pistol
2) Jakobs Well-Kept Striker Shotgun
3) Tediore Hefty IVF SMG (shock)
4) Hyperion Right-Sizing Fatale SMG ~ Go Cryo!!!
5) Anshin Reogenator Shield
6) Jakobs Celestial Lawbringer Class Mod
7) Hyperion 3DD1.E OzPack beep.beep.beep
8) Torgue Rolling Thunder Grenade (explosive)
For selected other bad boyz my Lawbringer prefers to pack her some Excalibastard Laser Gun, The Machine Sniper Rifle (corrosive) & Ol' Painful Assault Rifle (fire). Vaulties should bear in mind the element of fire isn't terribly useful in TPS cos Pandora's moon Elpis (just like Earth's moon) has no atmosphere so it's devoid of the O2 needed to start fires (thus for indoor baddies only). Have Fun :steamhappy:

Maggie, Thunderfire, Cheat Code if you can get some magazine size boosts, Eddie is simply non-negotiable since it is the single best Oz Kit in the game, the Quasar or Storm Front are good grenades, the Omni-Cannon is a decent sniper rifle, though the Skullmasher might be a better option depending on your accuracy. Badaboom is a good rocket launcher, as is the Nukem. The Viral Marketer or the Flayer are options I like for shotguns. .88 Fragnum is fun, but highly inaccurate and eats a lot of ammo for what it does. Can't recommend.

For shields, I'd think that the ReoGenator would be a good tanking option, while the Black Hole provides more crowd control. The Avalanche is pretty awesome if you're somehow lucky enough to find one, but in a pinch, a same-level Shield of Ages should work pretty well - the health loss is pretty small, really.

Admittedly, I don't usually get into theorycrafting, so my picks are probably a bit sup-optimal from a numbers standpoint.

Vibra Pulse also.
Pitchford, Flayer.
Blademaster / Bloodthirster Athena.

Hmm... think I had a Maggie at one point, wasn't a high level one but I recall it being a lot of fun. I had various Jakobs shotguns, mostly blue and purple though. I tend to prefer a Coachgun double barrel style.

Maggie is one of those guns I just never get in BL2. I don't particularly like doing the clan war, and if I AM going to do the clan war, I side with the Zafords, which locks me out of the main source for Maggie.

I think maybe I had one in BL2 (as a random world drop).

The Glitch weapons are weird. Some of them are insanely powerful but they also seem to be kind of unpredictable. I prefer a bit more consistency with my gear.

Yeah, the clan war quest line in BL2 isn't very fun, and siding with the rednecks isn't something I like to do. But in Pre-Sequel, you have The Grinder, allowing you to sacrifice gear you don't want in the hopes of getting something better. Two legendaries of any kind, plus one purple pistol and a cartload of moonstones, nets you a random orange pistol. If it isn't the Maggie, quit without saving and try again.

Well, how could my Sheriff not love her Maggie? I tell ya how ~ it's easy when packing the only-in-TPS monstrous powerful Jakobs Luck Cannon omfg whadda pistol due mainly to its advanced AI ~ gotta try this lege gun before ya die ~ there's nothing quite like it. "Better lucky than good." Adbugs in UVHM Clappy Voyage streams will drop it for ya but the trick is catching it midair ... ;) :steamhappy:PS About the Glitch Guns meh ... I agree w/ you ~ they're too weird, flakey & incalculable to be of much use to most players. (y)

Fridge (cryo smg)
Glitched weapons (thoroughly enjoy the random behaviors).
Clap Trap Buds 4 Life build.

EX-Calabastard is probably the most intriguing laser to me; there are many others, but thi one stands out to me.

Never had a Luck Cannon.

Never had an Ex-Calabastard either.

I've spent the most time playing Nisha, Wilhelm and Athena. Nisha Plays like a Sal that isn't broken. Wilhelm feels a lot like the best parts of Axton and Gaige combined. Athena's play style is a bit weird for me (I'm not that fond of how the BL games handle melee combat), but I like that she's the canon character.

Claptrap and Jack I just can't really get into. I like Claptrap as a character, but ... playing AS him is just too weird for me.

Aurelia feels too much like an awkward after thought to me in terms of how she fits into the story. They needed a 6th character, but they were out of antagonists from BL2, so ... they made one up and ... her integration with the story feels really forced to me. For all I know her abilities are fine, but I never got beyond Concordia with her.

You & I are pretty much on similar pages as usual. Jack's just no fun to play, Aurelia's broken as hell so she turns out to be really boring to play but I enjoyed the insanity of playing through Claptrap ... once & only once ... not really a fun replayable character. The other three were my faves to play through multiple times with Nisha my undisputed champion in TPS. Her skill & passion with Jakobs guns is close to my heart, her Action Skill Showdown in TPS is unassailable due to its outrageous AI & the game really respects her overall solo abilities ~ three aspects why I love playing the Sheriff.

Excalibastard isn't really hard to find ~ when yr Badass Rank hits 2,500 or above you can pull it outta that stone in Stanton's. Powerful Railgun that delivers massive Cryo blasts ~ you know I'm not partial to most Lasers in TPS but I find that this one, Laser Disker (good launcher alternative) & Min~Min Lighter (a (tricky but useful Laser to handle) have their extra~powerful purposes for playing games with various TPS RAID Bosses.

Great Game Great Guns + Gear, Great Fights ~~~ pretty much Great Everything in my book LOL :nisha::steamthumbsup:

...

Excalibastard requires 2500 badass rank to pick up.
The Excalibastard will scale itself to the Vault Hunter's level when removed from the stone.
Caveats:
You only get one per character so best to wait until late TVHM or UVHM.
The weapon cannot scale above the current play through's level cap either.

Weapon is located at Stanton's Liver accessible from Triton's Flats. Upon entering the area take a left hugging the cliff wall just before the bridge; after a little bit of platforming you will come upon a weapon stuck into a stone pedestal (sword in the stone thing).
