Stuck on the Mission 'Eye to Eye'

Hello Vault Hunters! Decided to why not mess around with glitches and get to the laser core before killing T.Zarpedo. (Whatever her name is). Now the door that leads to the 'second floor' wont open. Should i just noclip in there? And jack is not there too. Any tips?

Grenade jumped up to the platform to try and deactivate the laser. Wont work.

Figured it out. You have to activate the Fast Travel Point on the platform. The save and quit your game. The objective should reset.
